Writers-in-Residence

The Writers-in-Residence program is a collaboration of The Creative Writing Program and The Ingram Commons which invites MFA graduate students and first-year undergraduates into community-based dialogue and cooperation around the creative arts.  Each Writer-in-Residence is affiliated with one or two of the ten Houses of The Ingram Commons.  Writers-in-Residence develop readings, events, and other programs for the students, faculty, and staff of The Ingram Commons that encourage communities of interested first-year students to engage in creative reading and writing, and become aware of the larger creative writing culture at Vanderbilt and within the Nashville community.  The Writers-in-Residence are also responsible for selecting the readings for the Dean's Book Club.
